Position Overview:
This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the quality of health
care in Florida. We are seeking to hire a Senior Human Services
Program Specialist who desires to work to enhance the delivery of
health care services through the Florida Medicaid Program. This
position requires a candidate who is creative, flexible,
innovative, and who will thrive in a fast-paced, team-based work
environment.
This position is located in the Bureau of Medicaid Recipient and
Provider Assistance (RPA). RPA serves as a primary point of contact
for enrolled Medicaid providers, Medicaid recipients, and members
of the community with questions and concerns about Medicaid.
This position is responsible for planning and conducting in-house
and on-site New Provider Enrollment Reviews and validating
re-enrollment reviews of current Medicaid providers to determine if
they meet Medicaid provider enrollment requirements. Verifies
professional licenses, business tax receipt, and lease information,
among other information. Researches Internet to determine/verify
business status and ownership (e.g. State of Florida Division of
Corporations website and corporate websites). Submits findings and
recommendations to Medicaid Fiscal Agent Operations for further
action.
Researches and resolves assigned Medicaid Provider Enrollment and
Site Visit related issues and documents their findings to Program
Administrator and Program Operations Administrator.
Represents the Agency on Government and Community partnerships,
Medicaid overview presentations, secret shopper events,
transportation boards, community alliances, interagency agreement
teams, local planning groups and HIV planning councils as assigned
by the Field Office Manager (FOM) or Program Administrator
(PA).
Performs other duties as assigned.
This position requires travel.
This position will be hired at the base rate of $1,551.96
biweekly/non-negotiable.
This position is not a remote or telework position; it will have to
report to a Field Office or the Headquarters in Tallahassee.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS
At least two years of experience providing a professional level of
customer service in a fast-paced consumer-centric environment.
Preference will be given to the applicant who has:
Moderate to extensive experience and abilities using different
computer programs such as Excel, Outlook, and Word, etc., including
quick and accurate typing/keyboarding skills.
